Day 10- Tallinn, Estonia

Here we go again. Tallinn... well easily the most beautiful place I have ever been. Only a few photos to put up as we have just set sail and the internet goes a bit funny when we leave port.

Beautiful skyline of Tallinn's old town, and yet again another beautiful sunny day. We have been very lucky with the weather!

Nanna standing on top of the old medieval town wall. was a bit of a climb up to it! But lovely views when we got up there! :)

Just couldn't resist! Hannah as an Estonian Lady! Had to go knock kneed to fit! :D

Hannah and Nanna in the old Square :) Where we stopped to have a spot of lunch and eat the best cakes ever made! :D

That is all folks! Might be more so stay tuned :) Love to you all!

Day 9- St Petersburg: Round two!

Hello Hello... After a mad day yesterday of back to back tours we then had an all day tour today. Was lovely though. Dipping gold and amazing fountains! :)

St Catherine's Palace. Absolutely dripping with gold.... truly a stunning place (lots of pick pockets) but very very beautiful. (also very very wet... we got soaked waiting to go in!)

Gold Ballroom... With huge mirrors and chandeliers. Was amazing to see as the first room!

Nanna in one of the state dining rooms. The rooms were heated by these huge stoves instead of fireplaces!

Hannah in one of the state rooms. All the rooms had this amazing wooden flooring in all kinds of shapes and patterns.

This was the gardens at Peterhof Palace. There were amazing fountains and streams in the gardens. Couldn't take photos inside the palace so I am afraid all we have are garden photos :)

Hannah at the bottom of the fountain canal. It flows into the Gulf of Finland... so the air was a bit chilly, but lovely and sunny!
Hannah and Nanna at the fountains. The sun was soooo bright and reflecting off the water..so sadly Hannah now has a sun spot on her face...

Day 8- St Petersburg!

Evening all! We have got some more internet time! Yay! so will be posting up the last.. 3/4 days worth of images :) hope you enjoy them!

Welcome to St Petersburg! Lovely sunny day, which they said was highly unusual for them. They only have 60 sunny days a year! :O

Went for a carriage ride around the park lands of one of the big palaces outside St Petersburg. Was very wet out there but the ride was lovely and the horses were cute! (so says Hannah, not Nanna!)

Hannah and Nanna inside the carriage! The rode was very bumpy and we had a boy racer driving!

Just outside the Yospov (?) palace... Nanna is pulling an awesome face... like shes just sat on something sharp! haha!

Nanna listening in to the tour guide in the palace. Had some trouble with the head phones... what with her funny shaped head and tiny ears... So she spent the whole time walking around with her hands pressed to her ears... awwww special... :P

Another one of Nanna looking... special... went on a boat cruise up the Niver River... was very cold...

Stay tuned for day 2 of St P!

Day 7- Helsinki, Finland

So today we wake up to Helsinki. Not as pretty as some of the other places we have been but we have met some lovely Finnish people today!

Nanna sat outside a lovely craft center near the parliament houses. (she has a chesty cold :(... so making her rest every now and then!)

Lovely church that we found in a square near the parliament houses. A LOT of steps up to it as you will see below!

Hannah is the one at the top with her arms out stretched! Top of the world! Queen of the steps!

So folks! Our time is running out. Nearly out of internet time! St Peteresberg for 2 days tomorrow... so maybe Nanna might get some more time... who knows! hope you are all enjoying the posts! :)

Love to all! Stay tuned!

Day 6- Stockholm, Sweeden

Trying to burn through these posts for you guys! spending the next 5 or 6 days back to back visits to places! CRAZY!

Welcome to Stockholm! Another beautiful sunny day! this is the view across the rivers!
Nanna standing outside the Royal Palace. Was lovely inside, just like Versailles!

This is the Stockholm cathedral. Two years ago they had the Royal wedding here.

Nanna and Hannah outside the Royal Palace before we headed on the coach back. (sorry there are no words on the other images above. couldn't get it to cooperate!)

Off to Helsinki tomorrow, there will be a 2 hour time difference tomorrow... Woo... (messing with our body clocks!) Stay tuned!

Day 4- Copenhagen, Denmark

Welcome to Copenhagen! Saw the sunrise from our balcony!

Bikes everywhere! but absolutely beautiful! The Danes all seem to ride the old fashioned sitting up bikes!
Nanna outside one of the few medieval buildings left in the city, used to be a nunnery and then was made into a prison for women....

Hannah in a beautiful old square. The restaurants all had lovely seats and they provide blankets! Think we need this in England!

Picture of Nanna.... by some tower thing.... was next to the church of our lady in Copenhagen city center.

Hannah and Nanna outside the Royal palace. The royal family now live outside the city and this is now the houses of parliament. The priminster's office is on the top left  (by Hannah's head)

Hannah having a brief rest... it was very very hot...

All our own work! 9ft sand castles :P

Day at sea tomorrow and then of to Stockholm!
Stay tuned! :)

Day 3: Kristiansand, Norway

Hannah was woken up this morning to the sound of a Norwegian singer singing traditional folk songs on the dock, what an alarm clock!

This is Brian. Brian the moose. He met us as we came off the ship.

Nanna outside Kristiansand’s fish market… was rather smelly!

Nanna having a brief rest in a beautiful oasis of trees and flowers (one of my favorite photos of Nanna ever)

Hannah sitting by one of the fountains in Kristiansand’s Water Park was lovely and peaceful with the sea behind and wild flowers in front.

Pretty door in the old section of the town called posebyn.

After some walking about we found the Kristiansand’s Cathedral. It was beautiful. When we went inside the organist had just started playing a recital so we sat for a while and listen.

Nanna and Hannah at the Kristiansand’s fortress entrance. People actually live in it…. Pretty bleak during winter!

There is a lot of development work going on around the dockside, building new flats and creating green areas. At the end of one of the old docks they had built some gym equipment… and of course the big kid had to have a go! Can’t take her anywhere! :P
Finally the windswept nutters head back to the ship. It has been a beautiful day in a beautiful town.
